ABOUT us
What does it mean to be part of the Uniting Church in Australia?
The Uniting Church was formed in 1977, bringing together three denominations
- Congregational, Methodist and Presbyterian.
We seek to follow the way of Jesus as we live out our faith in
God.
Worship is the heart of our life together as we focus on the implications
of loving God with heart, mind and soul and our neighbours as
ourselves.
We encourage people to discover the meaning and purpose of Christian
faith for themselves.
We interpret the Bible seriously, but not literally.
We normally celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month and all adults and children are invited to share this sacrament.
We seek to build a community of people who believe in justice, love mercy and humbly walk with God.
We are commited to growing as Christians in a multi-cultural and multi-faith world.
